Itinerary (Day Wise)

Embark on a sacred 8-day Char Dham journey starting from Haridwar to Uttarkashi, followed by a day trip to the holy Gangotri Temple, the origin of the River Ganga. Continue to Guptkashi, then proceed to Kedarnath via Sonprayag and Gaurikund, either by a 17 km trek or helicopter. Next, travel to Badrinath Dham via Pipalkoti, completing your divine circuit. The yatra ends with a scenic return drive to Haridwar, filled with spiritual grace, majestic mountains, and unforgettable experiences.

Day 1

Haridwar – Rishikesh – Chamba – Dunda – Uttarkashi (Approx. 165–170 Km)

Route: Haridwar – Rishikesh (Triveni Ghat, Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, Parmarth Niketan) - Trayambakeshwar Temple - Chamba - Dunda – Uttarkashi


After breakfast, drive from Haridwar to Rishikesh and visit Triveni Ghat, Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, Parmarth Niketan, and Trayambakeshwar Temple. Enjoy serene Ganga views and the spiritual ambience. Continue toward Chamba, stopping at Tehri Lake Viewpoint for stunning Himalayan and lake scenery. Proceed via Dunda, enjoying wide valleys, forests, and the Bhagirathi River along the way. By evening, reach Uttarkashi, check into your hotel, and relax for the night.

Route: Uttarkashi - Maneri Dam - Gangnani (Rishikund/Tapt Kund) - Harsil - Gangotri – Uttarkashi


After breakfast, drive from Uttarkashi to Maneri for a quick halt at Maneri Dam. Continue to Gangnani and take a holy dip at Rishikund/Tapt Kund. Move onward to Harsil Valley, known for pine forests and apple orchards. If time permits, visit the Mukhba Village (Winter home of Goddess Ganga). Proceed to Gangotri for a holy dip, visit Surya Kund, the Submerged Shivling, and offer prayers at Gangotri Temple.

After darshan, return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay

After breakfast, drive from Uttarkashi toward Lambgaon via Moolgarh, enjoying scenic valley and river views. Continue to Ghansali for a quick tea break by the Bhilangana River. Proceed to Tilwara, a calm spot along the Mandakini River known for its peaceful ambience. By evening, reach Guptkashi and, if time allows, visit the Ardhnarishwar Temple before checking into your hotel for the night.

  • Riverside charm and tea break at Ghansali.

Guptkashi - Kedarnath (17 Kms - Trek/Helicopter)

Sonprayag – Gaurikund (Local Jeep – 6 Km)

Gaurikund - Kedarnath (17 Km - Trek)


The Trek for Kedarnath Ji starts from Gaurikund & Sonprayag and is the one-stop before Gaurikund at a distance of 06 km. Private Vehicles are allowed only till Sonprayag. The Pilgrims need to hire a local vehicle from Sonprayag to Gaurikund. Upon arrival, start your journey on the zigzag and well-laid trail to Kedarnath. You can avail the services of a pony/palki/palanquin. Helicopter services are also available for Kedarnath from the different helipads. The vehicle will drop off at the respective helipad from where the ride is booked. On arrival, proceed to the holy Darshan of Kedarnath Temple. Overnight stay at Kedarnath. (Breakfast included)

Gaurikund – Sonprayag (Local Jeep)

Sonprayag – Guptkashi (Drive - 3 hr)


Commence trek back early for Gaurikund to reach on time. Upon arrival at Gaurikund, hire the local jeep back for Sonprayag. Later, proceed to your booked hotel & on arrival, check in at the hotel, followed by dinner and an overnight stay. (Dinner Included)

  2. Visit to Bhairavnath Temple with stunning Kedar Valley views.

Route: Guptkashi – Kalimath (Optional) – Rudraprayag – Karnaprayag – Nandaprayag – Hailang – Joshimath – Vishnuprayag – Pandukeshwar (Optional) – Badrinath


After breakfast, drive from Guptkashi toward Kalimath (optional) for a peaceful visit to the ancient Kali Mata Temple. Continue to Rudraprayag to witness the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers, then proceed via Karnaprayag and Nandaprayag, enjoying beautiful river views at each Prayag.


Move toward Hailang, a scenic point leading to Urgam Valley, and then ascend to Joshimath to visit Narsingh Temple, Shankaracharya Math, and the ancient Kalpavriksha.

Head further to Vishnuprayag and, if time allows, visit Pandukeshwar (Yogadhyan Badri).


Finally, reach Badrinath for temple darshan and Evening Aarti.


Optional: Explore Mana Village—Bhim Pul, Saraswati River, and Vyas Gufa.

Begin your morning with a peaceful visit to Badrinath Temple and the sacred Tapt Kund, followed by nearby spots like Brahma Kapal, Sheshnetra, Charanpaduka, and Mata Murti Temple.


Head to Mana Village to explore Bheem Pul, Saraswati River, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and the First Tea Shop of India. Optional: Trek to Vasudhara Falls if time and weather allow.


Later, drive down toward Karnaprayag and Nandaprayag, stopping for lunch en route, and continue to Rudraprayag for your night stay. Optional visits include Karna Temple, Ravil Viewpoint, Gopalji Temple, and Koteshwar Mahadev Temple.
