Car Itinerary (Day Wise)
Begin your sacred journey from Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun and drive towards Guptkashi/Sonprayag, a scenic route alongside the Ganga and Alaknanda rivers. The next day, proceed early morning to Sonprayag and start your trek (or take a pony/helicopter) to the holy shrine of Kedarnath, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. After darshan and overnight stay near the temple or Sonprayag, return the next day to Guptkashi. Continue the journey toward Badrinath, another revered dham nestled in the Himalayas, and en route witness beautiful spots like Joshimath and Vishnuprayag. After darshan at Badrinath Temple and a visit to Mana Village (India’s last village), begin your return journey the next day via Rudraprayag and Devprayag, concluding the yatra at Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun.
Day 1
Haridwar/Rishikesh/Dehradun – Guptkashi (220–250 km / 8–9 hrs)
Drive through the scenic hills of Devprayag and Rudraprayag while following the Alaknanda River. Reach Guptkashi by evening and check in at the hotel. Visit the famous Vishwanath Temple if time permits. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.
Day 2
Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Kedarnath (Drive + Trek/Heli)
Early morning drive to Sonprayag, then take a shared jeep to Gaurikund. Start your 16 km trek (or take a pony/helicopter) to Kedarnath. Reach Kedarnath, attend evening aarti at the temple, and stay overnight near the temple.
Day 3
Kedarnath – Sonprayag – Guptkashi (Trek + Drive Back)
After morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple, trek back to Gaurikund and proceed to Sonprayag. Drive back to Guptkashi for rest and overnight stay.
Day 4
Guptkashi – Badrinath (190 km / 8 hrs)
Drive to Badrinath via beautiful towns like Joshimath and Pipalkoti. En route, witness confluences like Karnaprayag and Nandprayag. Upon arrival, visit Badrinath Temple for evening darshan. Overnight stay at Badrinath.
Day 5
Badrinath – Mana – Rudraprayag/Srinagar (160–190 km / 6–8 hrs)
After morning darshan, visit nearby attractions like Mana Village (India’s last village), Bhim Pul, and Vyas Gufa. Begin return journey and halt for overnight stay at Rudraprayag or Srinagar.
Day 6
Rudraprayag/Srinagar – Haridwar/Rishikesh/Dehradun (150–180 km / 6–7 hrs)
Conclude your yatra with a return drive via Devprayag (confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers forming the Ganga). Reach Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun by evening. Yatra Ends.
